JOB TITLE : Survey Operations Support Manager

LOCATION : Pune, India

About This Role :

You will be responsible for managing the survey support team. This team will provide programming, data QA and tabulations support to Survey Ops teams. This role will utilize your strong organizational skills, creativity and technical skills.

What You’ll Do :

  • Responsible for managing specific functions for Survey Operations; plays a key role in running the day-to-day aspect of each survey support area

  • Manages a team of direct reports; mentors and coaches for top performance; grows direct reports on appropriate career path; grows technical capability in others

  • Set goals for the team and direct reports on a yearly basis and monitor their performance

  • Perform quarterly performance review, make recommendations on changes to improve timeliness, quality and quantity

  • Ensure workload is evenly distributed among the team members and is documented

  • Ensures team has consistent track record of timely and accurate deliveries; meets operational KPI goals

  • Attract, engage, grow and retain key talent by advocating for career development

  • Hold weekly 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports and provides regular feedback on work

  • Build enthusiasm amongst team members and gives team a sense of purpose in their roles

  • Take on project work; closes resource gaps when necessary

  • Address any problems; help with troubleshooting issues for/with their direct reports and pushes through roadblocks

  • Acts as point-person for all issues related to assigned projects for data QA and Tabulations

  • Ensure data quality practices, processes and procedures are documented and followed by the teams

  • Mentor and train direct reports in SQL and/or UNCLE to regularly improve their skillsets

  • Manage multiple data quality and/tabulations requests simultaneously with strong organizational skills

  • Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of all required data deliveries to Survey Ops team

  • Create advanced queries to effectively QA survey data on a regular basis.

What You’ll Need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or a relevant quantitative/technical field

  • 4-6 years’ experience working in an analytical field

  • 1-3 years’ experience mentoring, coordinating and managing others

  • Able to manage multiple large projects; set priorities and timelines; address risks; develop contingency plans

  • Ability and willingness to manage people; develop and direct the growth of direct reports; coach for top performance

  • Proven ability of leading consultative projects and finding solutions to clients’ needs

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a functional area within Survey Operations

  • Ensures team compliance with internal processes and requirements

  • Solid programing logic in developing SQL scripts for data QA

  • Strong knowledge in Excel formulas and functions & VB Macros

  • Strong knowledge of UNCLE programming to build syntax for tabulations projects

  • Knowledge of ConfirmIT software

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, interest in interpreting and validating data

  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and able to document processes and logs as needed
