About This Role :
The Infrastructure Operations team is hiring an System Engineer – Command Center to provide 24x7 Tier 1 support of the comScore infrastructure. This team will monitor and troubleshoot issues within the network, storage & server environment. These environments exist on premise as well as in AWS and are a mixture of physical and virtual. This position will also be responsible for working with multiple teams in the US to create support and escalation procedures based on the impact to the business.
What You’ll Do :
Remote management and monitoring of 24 x 7 Command Center Operations
Working with SOPs.
Troubleshoot, prioritize and escalate issues to concerned technical teams
Communicate severity issues.
Understanding of the ITIL process including Incident, Change & Knowledge management.
Provide on-call support
Help in process improvement and documentation
What You’ll Need :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
1 to 3 years of infrastructure operations (Command Center) experience
Attention to detail
Ability to follow complex and detailed instructions
Sense of action and assertiveness to resolve issues
Desire for learning new technologies
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
What You’ll Need, cont.:
Familiarity with monitoring & Service management tools like Nagios, Service Now, Pager Duty
Dell server monitoring tools, for example Dell Openmanage and iDRAC.
Technical knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012, Linux
Familiarity with Virtualization & cloud platforms like VMware & AWS
Familiarity in Windows & Linux server administration
Experience in handling hardware and SEL logs and differentiating between critical and non-critical events
